Best ever peanut butter chocolate chip cookies


115g butter (at room temperature)
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cup plain flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup dark chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 160c (fan-forced).
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add peanut butter and mix well.
  4. Add in egg and vanilla and mix well.
  5. Mix in flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Roll tablespoon-fulls of dough into balls and flatten slightly as you place on baking tray.
  8. Bake for around 15 minutes, until lightly golden.
  9. Leave cookies on tray to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
